The ongoing debate over genetically modified (GM) crops in Asia deserves more than polarized rhetoric. It deserves a grounded, transparent conversation focused on facts, good governance, and the dual aims of food security and ecological sustainability. As populations swell, arable land shrinks, and climate change threatens traditional farming, GM crops have begun to emerge not only as a scientific innovation, but also as a potential linchpin for feeding millions more.
