Aims and Scope

Journal of Nutrition and Food Security is a double-blind, peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge on nutrition, food security, and sustainable food systems. The journal provides an interdisciplinary platform for researchers, health professionals, policymakers, and other stakeholders to disseminate high-quality research addressing the availability, accessibility, affordability, safety, quality, and utilization of nutritious food and their implications for human health and well-being.
The journal welcomes original research articles, systematic and scoping reviews, meta-analyses, methodological studies, and evidence-based policy analyses covering nutritional, agricultural, environmental, economic, and social dimensions of food security.
The scope includes, but is not limited to:

• Human nutrition and health, including nutritional status, dietary patterns, nutrient deficiencies, and diet-related diseases
• Food security and food insecurity, including food availability, access, affordability, utilization, and stability

The journal particularly encourages interdisciplinary and translational research that connects nutrition and health outcomes with agricultural production, food systems, environmental sustainability, economics, and public policy. Studies addressing food and nutrition security in low- and middle-income countries, vulnerable populations, and climate-sensitive regions are especially welcome when they provide insights of broader international relevance.
Journal of Nutrition and Food Security aims to bridge the gap between scientific evidence, food-system practice, and policy, contributing to the development of healthy, equitable, resilient, and sustainable food systems. The journal seeks to promote evidence-based strategies that improve nutrition and ensure reliable access to safe, affordable, and nutritious food for present and future generations.

Publication of Journal of Nutrition and Food Security benefits from copyright protection in accordance  with Universal Copyright Convention.Journal of Nutrition and Food Security uses the Editorial Manager System for online manuscript submission, review, and tracking. Manuscripts are reviewed by at least two reviewers from the journal’s editorial board or by external experts. Acceptance and publication of any citable manuscript require approval from at least two independent reviewers, followed by the editor’s final approval.
